Our Lison Classico DOCG selected by the sommeliers of some of the best restaurants in the world<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

We are honoured that our Lison Classico DOCG<\/em><\/a> has been selected and included into the World’s Best Sommeliers’ Selection<\/strong><\/a> 2024 by an international panel of renowned sommeliers, gathered in the UK for an exclusive tasting event organised by William Reed, the company behind other prestigious rankings such as The World’s 50 Best Restaurants<\/a><\/strong> and World’s Best Vineyards<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span>
\nThe World’s Best Sommeliers’ Selection has been created by 30 expert sommeliers from 16 countries and 4 continents, representing some of the most renowned restaurants in the world, included into The World’s 50 Best Restaurants; among them also 4 Italian restaurants awarded with 3 Stars in the Michelin Guide<\/strong><\/a>: Reale in Castel di Sangro, Piazza Duomo in Alba, Le Calandre in Rubano, Uliassi in Senigallia.
\nThe sommeliers worked to create a carefully curated selection of wines from all over the world that could be useful to their on-trade peers looking for new, interesting wines to propose, enriched by the different points of view of the international panel’s composition.
\nItaly is second only to France in terms of the number of labels selected: besides our Lison Classico DOCG, 15 prestigious Italian wines have been chosen, and we are proud of sharing this recognition with them.

The vintage 2019: an unexpected Lison<\/strong><\/span>
\n<\/span><\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

The vintage selected by the sommeliers is 2019<\/strong>: it was a special harvest as we managed to have “nolbe rot”<\/em><\/strong> developed on the old vines of Tocai Friulano dating back to 1943<\/strong> that we use; this peculiarity made it a unique Lison: bright golden colour, a great intensity on the nose with surprising notes of sweet spices and honey that accompany the characteristic hints of aromatic herbs and candied citrus fruits, and\u00a0 extremely rich, savoury and fresh <\/span>on the palate<\/span>, with a delicate almondy note on the finish typically given by our terroir<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n
